UNIQUE DESTINATION

Sundarban National Park, the entire area is a cluster of river channels, creeks, and Islands which total about 102 in number.  54 islands are inhabited and the rest 48 islands are forested. Sundarban is a wildlife tiger reserve forest in India. It's a Unesco World Heritage Site because of there ecological importance of this area. It is also a Mangrove National Park and a biosphere reserve in the West Bengal state of India.

CORE ZONE WATCHTOWER

Netidhopani: Here the tourists get to see the ruins of a 400-year-old temple along with a watch tower. Netidhopani is a part of the core area of Sundarbans. This is an excellent site where you may find the pleasure of spotting the Royal Bengal Tiger. You may see spotted  Deer, and many birds and other animals here. The ideal time to visit this place is afternoon or early morning. The animals generally avoid the scorching sun of the noons.

BUFFER ZONE WATCH TOWER

Sajnekhali: Mangrove Interpretation Centre, turtle and crocodile pond, watch tower, and sweet water pond are the main attractions here.

Sudhanyakhali:

A Mangrove Park along with a sweet water pond and watch tower with observation lines provides a vantage point for tourists to see wildlife. Dobanki Canopy Walk: This aerial pathway allows the tourists to have an aerial view of the forest. It culminates into a watch tower from where a vast expanse of mangrove forest can be seen.

Burirdabri

cage trail and mud walk: This is a favorite with the tourists as it allows the tourists a feel of the muddy forest floor. The ground fauna can be observed closely during the mud walk. It culminates into a watch tower overlooking Bangladesh with river Raimongal forming the boundary.

Buffer and Core Zone Full itinerary

Day-1

Sundarban Core Zone Package Pickup from Kolkata. Morning 7.00 am. By an exclusive A/C Vehicle. Kolkata to Godkhali distance 110 km travel time 3 hours.

Godkhali - It is the entry point of Sundarban. The tourists boarding boats from this point particularly.

TOUR STARTS FROM GODKHALI JETTY

Welcome Drinks and breakfast, then visit Rabindra Nath Thakur Bangalow, Gosaba market. back to the boat.

 

11.00 am transfer guest from Godkhali jetty by motor launch to the resort/hotel located in the Sundarbans Islands. This journey would take guests/tourists down the rivers Hogol, Gomar, Durgaduni, and Gumdi in about an hour and a half. 1.30 lunch on the boat, after lunch check-in hotel. 2 hours rest.

4 pm introduce the village life of Sundarbans by exclusive tuk-tuk. 6 pm. back to the hotel.

6.30 pm- we arrange tribal dance presented by local girls and women.

7.00 pm -In the evening we serve snacks.

8.30 pm. dinner. Night stay at the hotel.

 

Day-2

FULL-DAY JUNGLE SAFARI - CORE AND BUFFER ZONE

6.00 am bed tea, 6.30 set off the boat.

The second day involves a full-day cruise through the rivers and narrow creeks of the Sundarban National Park and a lovely birding experience.

Food would be prepared and served on the motorboat. Start after bed tea and

8.00 am breakfast.

Visit the Two watchtowers of  Burir Dabri and Harikhali. Bagana forest range office and Harikhali Watch Tower.

BURIRDABRI WATCHTOWER

Our  1st point  Bagna forest office for getting the jungle entry fee. Bagna is a small range office under Jhila forest at Kumirmari Village.

 

Burir Dabri Buffer zone watch tower.

This is the most offbeat and beautiful watchtower at Sundarban. Here we can find visit often the movement of the Tiger. In low tide time, you may also find a tiger pugmark on the river bank. Walking at Burir dabri is a lifetime experience.

The next destination is Harikhali, Harinbhanga, and Katoajhora jungle in the eastern part of Sundarbans. The most beautiful part of this watchtower is that you can experience the confluence of five different rivers and that serene. This is the place to be called for crocodiles and experiencing their presence is almost certain. It's wonderful to see nature from the watchtower.

 

MORIRJHAPI:

A painful history of people. The refugees who occupied the legally protected  Sundarban reserve forest land on Marichjhapi. The island will be cleared by the West Bengal government.

 

 

Core Zone watch tower:

Harikhali

12 pm. Lunch

4 pm tea biscuits

7 pm back to Hotel.

7 pm Snacks, 9 pm Dinner at hotel.

 

Day-3

Full-day jungle safari CORE ZONE AND BUFFER ZONE

6.00 am bed tea.

6.30 start a motorboat.

7.30 am Sajnekhali watch tower- panoramic view of forest wildlife, tortoise pond, mangrove museum.

8.00 am next watchtower is the Sudhanyakhali watch tower. of the Sundarban National Park. Most of the Royal Bengal Tigers are sighted from this tower. Some other wildlife like axis deer, wild boars, and varieties of Mangrove plantations are here to introduce tourists. may also be seen from this watchtower. There is a sweet water pond where animals drink water. Behind the pond, one can see animals from a distance.

Our next point Dobanki.

A 3-hour journey by boat from Sudhanyakhali.In this ride, you will see Pirkhale 1,2,3,5,7 block, 1 narrow creek Bonbibi Varani, Gajikhali, and Nobanki. Thereafter, enjoy the thrill of cruising deep in the forest area and also around the islands of the Sundarbans Tiger Project area. Let us be guided by our guide to viewing the Mangrove forest from close quarters, deep inside the creeks.

11. am Snacks

12.00 pm lunch on the boat. After lunch, we reach Dobanki watch tower. This watchtower is famous for the canopy walk. this walk allows you to view wildlife from a netted enclosure. Next on our itinerary would be the Spotted Deer Rehabilitation Centre.

12.30 pm enjoying 5 River Jn.

2.00 pm Core zone watchtower Netidhopani.

5 pm reach Godkhali. 8 pm reach Kolkata
